Kona Hawaii Ironman (2007) 1/7
There were 6 manta rays present for this event. The lights from the Sheraton attract the plankton that the mantas eat. The crew of the boat set up a light toward the bottom of Keauhou Bay, which attracted more plankton. It looks like the housing of my camera is dirty, but that is a combination of bubbles from a diver below me and plankton collecting on the glass. The mantas are huge and will come within an inch or so of snorkelers and will sometimes brush along them. That is an amazing experience, though of course it makes for a terrible video
