		<description>YES!!  It&#039;s such a rip off here.  If you want a single family home, that runs around 500k.  It depends which area though.  And it&#039;s expensive for anything!  Traveling from mainland to hawaii is a huge rip off and so is traveling from island to island.  If you move here, you&#039;d probably only be able to afford an apartment or possibly a condo.  Plus, you get paid less for jobs here.  Since it&#039;s supposedly &quot;summer all the time&quot;.  I mean, the weather is great compared to the mainland but.. it does get a bit chilly.  In the 60&#039;s.  I don&#039;t know if 60 degrees is cold to you but for me it&#039;s freezing!&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;I&#039;ve lived on Oahu my whole life.</description>

		<description>Yes, in general Hawaii is an expensive place to live.  Due to the high price of &quot;stuff&quot; coupled with getting it over here everything runs a little bit higher then usual.  Then on top of that there is not much land to continue building houses so that price is also high.  Can you do it, of course, takes some penny pinching here and there but the rewards are worth the sacrifices.  The flights to the mainland go up and down depending on the season and the bidding wars between the airlines.
