Im sorry theres not alot of details, i watched the movie a couple years ago.

So all i remember is that theres a teen girl and she was being chased by a Man with a hand as a hook. And she is running while hes chasing her to her mom’s house or a store or something. She runs in and she tells her mom that there was a man chasing her.

So then towards the end i remember that she was at a parade or something and she was on a float and saw the man with the hook hand walking up stairs and she starts chasing him. Then theres like blood on the stairs. And i think the man killed her boyfriend or dad.

Sorry thats all the info i can remember.

Also, the other one isnt horror.

I think its set in Hawaii or something and its about a little girl that goes fishing with her grandpa or something. Her grandpa teaches Karate or some kind of fighting with sticks. She dresses up as a boy or something and goes in the class but her grandpa yells at her. Later i remember that she was trying to save a whale or something in the ocean.

the first one is ‘I know what you did last summer’
the first movie
sorry i don’t know the second one but i think it’s whale rider

I spent 30 minutes composing my answer to that question, which the lady deleted sometime between the time I started typing and the time I clicked "Submit". Here’s my opinion. What do you all think?

===================

Love is never wrong, but some loves are more difficult than others. (I should amend that; mutual love between freely consenting adults is never wrong.)

Your best odds for a long untroubled marriage, statistically, are with some one of the same race, religion, ethnicity, socio-economic background and upbringing. Dull, but untroubled.

People who always squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom and roll the tube up neatly should never marry someone who squeezes it from the middle and loses the cap three times out of ten.

People who don’t mind "ketchup scabs" around the mouth of the bottle shouldn’t marry people who do.

People who make their bed every morning, fold their socks and iron their jeans should not marry someone who, when he looks up from his recliner to see the cat poop in the rug instead of the litter box, says "Gosh, I’ll have to clean that up tomorrow morning, or maybe tomorrow night, when it has had a chance to dry", then goes back to his bourbon and detective novel. (I am just making these up out of my imagination, and if I wear my hair long on that side, the scar where my wife threw the iron doesn’t show.)

The first question you should ask yourself is "Am I attracted to him/her because of personal traits, such as honesty, courage, manners, views on saving the whales . . ., or because he/she is a [Dane / Zulu / Eskimo / Mexican / Jew / African-American / Chinese . . .].

It also depends on where you live. Marrying someone of another ethnicity in Alabama in 1950 would make your life a living hell. Doing so in Hawaii in 2009 is almost the norm. Anglo-Hispanic matches are so common in California that no one notices any more.

Everything you do will affect your kids, one way or the other. How you teach them to cope with life is one of the trials of parenthood.

In some ways, life is like a hike. You get a sack of rocks you have to carry with you. Some people figure out ways to throw away some of those rocks, some pick up more along the way. Marrying someone outside of your race, religion, ethnicity, socio-economic background or upbringing is a pretty big rock to pick up.

"Upbringing" comes in because you learn to be a parent from your parents. If yours insisted on impeccable table manners, going to church every Sunday, limited TV watching and spending Saturdays together, you will probably want that for your children too. You’d be unhappy with someone who chews with his mouth open, thinks eating dinner in front of the TV is fine if there is a good movie on, skips church when the weather is nice and wants to spend Saturday working on his buddy’s 1957 Thunderbird restoration project.
=======
Nothing useful – Small world! I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sarawak. Ask your wife "Apah Khabar, suda mundai?" and apologize to her for my spelling. It should mean "Good day – Have you had your bath?", a polite greeting among the Malays I knew.
==========
Whoops! One’s skills get rusty.
"Salamet mata hari" is "Good day". "Apah kabar" is "How is it going?"

Though your question isn’t funny, I had to laugh because the same thing has happened to me more than once. A good question that I want to answer, do a good job of writing a concise, clear answer & when I’ve gone to submit it – the question has been removed! Oh the frustration.

Well, at least you put your very good reply to good use by asking the question again. I think life and marriage are hard enough without all the difficulties that a "mixed marriage" brings with it. Having said that and agreeing with everyone else’s answers, I have to say that you can’t control with whom you fall in love – it’s acting upon and making your decisions about the relationship that are hard. Some people go with their hearts and some with their heads. No one is in a position to judge others even though they do & some can take it and others cannot.

I think the hardest things to overcome in a marriage are different races; different religions and different values. I don’t think the messy vs neat, etc would really make a difference when you’re in love.

So, my answer would be that the biggest, heaviest rocks to carry are only for those that are the strongest; in mind, body and spirit.

I am REALLY interested in Marine Biology and biology in general, it was the best class for me in high school. What I want to know is what jobs can I have that would allow me to live (I don’t plan on having kids).

I watch Animal Planet and Discovery Channel and think how awesome it’d be to work with the fish/animals of the world.

•How hard is it to be a Marine Biologist, ect.
•Could I possibly get a job like at Seaworld and take care of the fish in the aquariums? (i’m not so into the whale training)
•My dream is to work with animals somewhere in either Hawaii, California, or Australia. (I have family in Hawaii but the other two would be new for me) Could I live up to this dream, like is it possible?
•Any more info? (i’ve done my research but I want to see if some people know different/more things than me.)

It is a hard field to get into but there are jobs out there. Australia would be a good place to look at as they take their marine biology very seriously and fund quite a lot of posts. On the other hand Oz has very strict immigration controls from non-commonwealth nations.

You would need to make yourself stand out from the pack by getting an excellent first degree and follow that up with postgrad study if you wanted to take the professional scientist option.

There are quite a lot of jobs worldwide in fisheries control and research into fish farming, plus there are a lot of NGOs that employ marine biologists.

We are planning a return trip to hawaii next year to see things like the whale migration. We are looking for any information on what type or brand of binoculars would be great for the trip. We are planning on staying in a home on the north shore near the pipeline and it is said you can sit on your deck and watch them. We are mostly wanting to improve our looking. The price range we are looking at would be $150.00 or less. Any advice anyone has would be great.
I do have my eye on a nikon action 12×50 binocular. The thing I like about this one is the fact about star gazing with them and I already have a tripod.

I think you can get a decent pair for about that. Your decision will be whether to get a pair of 8×40s or a pair of 10×40s. Some people have a little difficulty holding 10×40s steady enough. Hand shake tends to be more obvious with the 10×40s. They will however give you a slightly closer look, but not much.

Here is a link to a pair or two that will meet your needs. They are both waterproof since you will be on a whale watching boat.

At $159.99 but no shipping or sales tax. A good pair. The 10×42 are are $10 more.

These are not quite as good in the field of view department but they are not bad and only $62.00 a pair. One for you and one for your wife too. The 10×42s are $30 a pair more.

So our wedding is August 8, 2008 and we were going to Hawaii for our honeymoon and my fiance and I would love to leave Michigan. The question comes down to move from Michigan to Orlando/Kissimmee or go to Hawaii for our Honeymoon? I know the ultimate decision is ours but I would like to hear some opinions. The move to Florida is something we both have wanted for a while, but never saw a good opportunity until recently. If we did choose to move it would be within a week after the wedding. And Hawaii is somewhere we both have never been, but wanted to go. We were going to go in December for two weeks because of the whale watching expedition they offer. Sorry this was long but I wanted to give as much detail as possible. Thank you in advance.
Maybe some of you got confused, its not a choice to do both, its either one or the other. We will be moving with our three kids. Money isn’t an issue, but moving into a new house will take time to set up. So its a matter of choosing one or the other. Thanks to the answers so far.

Hi and congratulations!

Wow….this is a tough one. I am a fellow Michigander and also a person that has been to Hawaii and loves Florida!

Hmmm….I have to say, that I would choose the move. If money is no problem, then maybe on your 1 year anniversary go to Hawaii. It really doesn’t matter when you go to Hawaii (for seeing whales). My husband and I went to Hawaii in January/February and saw plenty of whales.

In any case, as a person who has always wanted to leave Michigan myself (and I love Florida too!), I would opt for the move. Hawaii will still be there on your 1, 5, or 10 year anniversary!

Good luck with your decision.

I am booking a suprise Hawaii trip for my husband for our annivresary. I know nothing about Hawaii, but do know that Maui and Oahu are the two places to go, I guess. We are going to want to snorkel, whale watch, ect… Plus we love nature, so we want to see lots of beautiful scenery. My question, as far a weather, do I go in late December or early January…or late January. I understand there is a rainy season there and I would like to avoid that.

December or January are both theoretically in the rainy season (some are more rainy than others), but that doesn’t necessarily mean vacation plans in any month are likely to be at all affected by rain. It basically means that there’s a small possibility a kona storm could bring moist air up from the tropics and dump rain all over the island for a few days. Otherwise, there is usually a rainy side of the island (Hana, Kaneohe) and a dry side (Kihei, Honolulu).

Last year was a wet December on Maui. There were flash floods Upcountry, and it snowed on top of Haleakala. Kihei got more than 8 inches of rain that month, but in an average December, Kihei only gets about 2.4 inches of rain. On the other hand, January was very dry for Kihei. The January average is 4.1", but this January, Kihei got just over one-tenth of an inch the whole month.

What I wanted you to see is that a lot of rain for Kihei is really not that much rain, and that there’s no predicting which month is actually going to be more rainy.

Both months are great for whale watching. Humpback whales prefer to hang out in the shallow waters among the islands of Maui County (Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kahoolawe).
