1. I have a 2 kids with me. A Teenager and a 10 year old. They want to do snorkeling, scuba diving and other water sports.
2. We also want to relax and be on the beach.
3. Not interested in Volcanoes or museums.

Please let me know which islands are the best for this sort of itinerary

I would saw Oahu or Maui- every island really has great beaches so you can be sure to get relaxing time on anywhere. there will also be water sports whereever you go- However, right now Oahu is much more "tourist run"- if you stay down in waikiki/ honolulu area you will be sure to be around MANY other peopel at all times. If your not interested in museums and such i would Maui, or even Kauai. It soudns liek you basically want to relax while your kids have fun in the water- if this is true then i belieev you would enjoy it the most on maui or kauai- teh beaches are beauitfula nd there are plenty of activities- check with your hotel and online for any deals you can get. enjoy your vacation!

should I just go snorkeling?

would Maui be the best place?
We are also going to Oahu and Kauai

Not very dangerous if you are certified… some places, such a the caves on the north shore of Kauai can be if you are not experienced, but most are great and safe.
Go to Hanalei Beach on Kauai… the most breathtaking place to swim in the world. Buy some canned vegetables, and let a few pieces out at a time, and watch all the tropical fish come! It’s incredible. Go to Waimea Canyon on Kauai too… a miniature Grand Canyon.

I have been reading alot about the islands and they all look great but we do not want to island hop. I was thinking its between Maui and the Big island. I want to go to the beaches as well as visiting sites. My hubby wants to do snorkeling and look at volcanos. Ahh so many decisions lol.

Are you firm on only going to one island? If so & if your husband really wants to see a live volcano, then the Big Island is the only place for you. The beaches aren’t so great on the Big Island, but there are a few good ones. Maui’s beaches are much nicer, but Haleakala is a dormant volcano.

Here we are in Hawaii. I hope you enjoy the underwater footage we were able to take with my water-proof point-and-shoot digital camera. I apologize if it’s a little shaky at times. I tried my best but I was also trying to have some fun while shooting.

Please rate, subscribe, pass it on, and support this channel. Thanks as always.

I have slipped on lava in hawaii before, so I don’t want some cheapo brand, I want a pair that will grip surfaces really well.

Teva makes amazing water shoes with super grips! Their sandlas and shoes are made specifically for water sports like kayaking, canoeing, snorkeling, etc. Check ‘em out!

I am moving on the beach in Hawaii. (for safety reasons I don’t want to disclose which one or which island) But it is on Hawaii. And I know it is not a popular beach for snorkeling but it doesn’t have any waves so I can’t surf there so I was trying to think of activities I could do (not much of a lay on the shore kind of person). So I was wondering can you snorkel at any beach? Like will I be able to see anything?
I have been a Hawaii resident for 13 years we just lived in the city. And I don’t find your racist answer very helpful. Haole means foriegner and I am not a foriegner I have lived here since I was a toddler.

Aloha Surfer Chick,
If you have lived on the island of Hawaii since your were a toddler for 13 years then I am truly surprised that you do not know where to snorkel, but oh well. The fish hang out by he reefs.

I would also like to know other fun activities to do there, I will be there for a few days and am also interested in snorkeling and cave exploring. No outdoor hiking

if you’re staying at a hotel, you ask the activies/consierge desk and they will help you find anything you want.
