Here we are in Hawaii. I hope you enjoy the underwater footage we were able to take with my water-proof point-and-shoot digital camera. I apologize if it’s a little shaky at times. I tried my best but I was also trying to have some fun while shooting.

Please rate, subscribe, pass it on, and support this channel. Thanks as always.

USS Missouri entering Pearl Harbor drydock #4. It took 1 hour to tow her to the dock, and 7 hours to guide her in and set her on the keel blocks. A brow could not even be attached to let us off the ship until she was hard on the blocks.

P.S. I am very grateful to be allowed to be aboard, and honored to take part in this chapter of the USS Missouri’s history. God bless America. Anybody who has a problem with that phrase: get out of my country!

English Philology end of degree trip from January 28 to February 10
Bilbao – London – New York – Houston – Honolulu
Honolulu – New York – London – Bilbao

“the most incredible and exciting trips of our lives”

Lyrics:

Feeling the moment slip away
Losing direction you’re losing faith
You’re wishing for someone
Feeling it all begin to slide
Am I just like you
All the things you do – can’t help myself

How do you feel when there’s no sun
And how will you be when rain clouds come and pull you down again
How will you feel when there’s no one
Am I just like you

Turning to face what you’ve become
Bury the ashes of someone
Broken by the strain
Trying to fill that space inside
Am I just like you
All the things you do – can’t help myself

How do you feel when there’s no sun
And how will you be when rain clouds come and pull you down again
How will you feel when there’s no one
Am I just like you
All the things you do

Don’t ever feel
That you’re alone
I’ll never let you down
I’ll never leave you dry
Don’t fall apart
Don’t let it go
Carry the notion
Carry the notion back to me

Feeling the moment slip away
Feeling the moment slip away

Cause I’m just like you

How do you feel when there’s no sun
And how will you be when rain clouds come and pull you down again
How will you feel when there’s no one

Am I just like you?

Learn Massage in hawaii at http://www.alohamassageschool.com in Maui, Hawaii
The early Polynesian settlers brought their own form of massage and, like a canoe plant, it evolved to become something uniquely Hawaiian. It was practiced by everyone, from child to chief. As an indigenous practice that evolved over hundreds of years in isolated valleys throughout the island chain, there are many different “schools” of lomilomi with different approaches and techniques.
After American missionaries arrived in 1820 and converted many in the Kingdom of Hawaii to Christianity, traditional healing arts were scorned as heathen and primitive. Various laws prohibited “heathen” worship and any related Native Hawaiian healing practices. Lomilomi as part of medical practice went underground. But lomilomi as restorative massage remained popular not only among the Hawaiians, but among foreign residents and visitors as well.
American writer Charles Nordhoff wrote about his experience with lomilomi massage in his 1875 book, Northern California, Oregon, and the Sandwich Islands. [1] For Robert Louis Stevenson it was disagreeable, but English adventurer Isabella Bird found it delightful. (Chai 2005: 77) Not only did foreigners receive lomilomi, they also gave it. According to the first Director of the Bishop Museum, writing in 1908, one of the most skilled practitioners was Sanford Dole (one of the leaders of the overthrow of the Kingdom). (Chai 2005: 26)Although the Legislature of the Kingdom of Hawaii banned curing through “superstitious methods” in 1886, massage was not subject to legislation until 1945. In 1947, the Board of Massage was established to regulate lomilomi and massage. The law required practitioners to pass a written test on anatomy, physiology and massage theory.
