I want to move to Hawaii, but I’m apprehensive about the job market due to the fact that I would be a newby without any insider’s knowledge. I can speak these three languages fluently and I would like to know what kinds of industries I may be able to get a job in. I was hoping that perhaps there would good opportunities in the hotel/tourism trade. I would appreciate anybody in the know to give me some tips about the Hawaiin job market. Thanks!
That is a skill few Americans have. I imagine you would have no problem finding a job in whatever you choose.
Are there any buses and how often do they operate? I am planning to visit there soon. I do plan to get a rental car, but I would like to know about the public transportation available.
Public buses are everywhere and go to all of the island areas.
Honolulu, Oahu – has the Waikiki Trolley, and you can get an all day pass very cheaply.
Rental cars are more expensive than taking a limo, and you get stuck in lots of traffic….as the limo drivers have traffic info that you don’t have.

Kevin even helped us out by getting us an entertainment book for buy one meal get one 1/2 price, or free, and he dropped it off after we asked …about good food, at our hotel desk…..
He would offer any tour you would like, but also told us about the public bus and trolley service.
…..Just tell him R from Exton, PA sent you…last trip in August 16, 2005, and he was just marvelous (1-888-926-3444), and he & his family lived there for about 19 years…from the mainland originally.
Public transportantion is available on each island and is clean and easy to use.
I’m thinking of moving to Auckland and wanted to know if surf clothing (billabong, hurley, quicksilver, etc.) is worn a lot. I live in Florida now and from California originally so thats what I’ve grown up with.
Yes definitely! You wouldn’t believe how obsessive many tweens are with Roxy and Billabong etc etc, and many of the guys wear Volcom and Billabong all the time. Trust me, it’s big!
Amazon, Mississippi and Chances are the main stores which sell only surf brands, and there are other lesser known smaller stores in each city/suburb that also sell surf brands.
One where there are hardly any people so YOu can feel part of nature and NOT like your in a tourist trap!

The North fork of the middle fork of the American river in Placer county California. I wasn’t looking for fish though. I found a one ounce, three and a half pennyweight gold nugget up there.

We live in Florida and would like to go on a 10 day vacation to Hawaii or a cruise around the Caribbean. We would like to get the best vacation for our money. We love beaches, waterfalls, snorkeling and water activities.
I visited Hawaii and loved it so much I never went home. Now I work in the travel industry and love it. Also… Hawaii is part of the USA. You can drink the water, spend American dollars, and experience a unique culture. If you don’t go for this vacation, you should go at some point in your life.
My girlfriend and I are traveling to Hawaii in about a week. We’re staying on Oahu Island on Waikiki Beach. We’re not staying for long. What are some things you highly recommend? What are some things you hated or found boring? Any tips – including anything you found incredibly romantic, interesting or delicious – are much appreciated!

I love the Mai Tais at the Shorebird. They also have live music and a nice atmosphere.
Take a drive around the island, check out the insane surfers on the north shore at the world-famous surf spot Pipeline, visit the Byodo-In Temple (see link below), have a "shave ice" at Matsumoto’s, stop at a grocery store on the way and get some local food like saimin noodles, spam musubi or kahlua pork.
Try scuba diving! It’s amazing! Something like 1/3 of Hawaii’s underwater life isn’t found anywhere else in the world. Most dive shops will pick you up from your hotel. Jan/Feb is whale season so there’s a good chance you’ll see whales on the boat trip out (it’s like a 2-for-1 scuba and whale watching).
Delicious: malasadas (portuguese donuts) very addictive and a local favorite.
The Aloha Stadium swap meet is the best place to find a variety of inexpensive souvenirs. It doesn’t run everyday, so check the link below.

The Dole Pineapple plantation was kinda "meh." It’s really touristy.
GET THERE EARLY
* If you want to hike to the top of Diamond Head, go early. Otherwise it’s hot and crowded.
* Same for the Arizona Memorial – get there when they open because about 45 minutes later dozens of tour buses will show up.

I have DID and it is is bad. feeling really out of control and my alters want to come out really bad. I have 5-6 alters. Two are evil. one wants me to get hurt and die and the other wants to hurt and rampage. I am on meds but feel like i am not getting better. I would like to go to the hospital but they take for over night and release me or they say I can’t come in because I have sleep apnea and no medical devices are allowed in the ward. The nurse tell the DR I am too complicated for them. I live on Hawaii and if I want to go to another island they say no, because my local needs to treat me. It is called Area of Care. I want to go to Honolulu for help but nobody will send me or help me. my Psychiatrist is a quack and talks down to me and ridicules me. I can;t find any other Dr that take medicare or medicaid. I need help. The local free clinic is only taking very very sever mental illness because of budget cutbacks and they say I don;t qualify. help me please
Unfortunately if you go to the ER and say you are feeling suicidal and you cannot be left alone, they will have to find a bed for you. It doesn’t make sense about not being able to take a CPAP machine to a hospital. Please look for another Psychiatrist. Perhaps a social worker at a hospital can help you get the help you need. Keep reaching out for help until you find it. Please stay safe.
